Acting Classes For Kids

The Edgemar Center is a state-of-the-art facility where you can take advantage of acting classes for kids or adults. Michelle Danner founded the Edgemar Center and she has the experience to back the center. She has directed and acted in more than thirty plays and musicals in New York and Los Angeles while her highlights at Edgemar include producing The Night of the Black Cat, which was the winner of the 2005 Best Musical of the Tear at the Los Angeles Music Awards. Michelle produced and acted in the award-winning short Dos Corazones, which was directed by Larry Moss. Michelle is the founder and artistic director of the center alongside of Larry Moss.

Acting classes for kids are available at the Larry Moss studios, starting at the infant level! The International Children’s Playhouse for infants to three years old offers a musical, magical and theatrical experience where children will explore the world through multicultural song, musical instruments and dance. Acting classes for kids ages three to six years use story telling, music and enchanted magical kingdom, where friendship and adventures are to be had by all! They can explore their creativity and dramatic flair, using dramatic play to allow their children to develop their intellect, symbolic thought, and language skills. These acting classes for kids help children to understand the world around them. They use their own interests and knowledge at the same time they develop their very own dramatic flair. Children will learn without the need for written lines, structure performances, or an audience. They will play in a safe and exciting environment to experiment with role-playing, problem solving, and conflict resolution. For those aged seven to fourteen years, acting classes for kids are provided through interactive exercises, theatre and improvisational games, and scene work. Students’ imaginations and creativity can blossom to their full potential with the acting and improvisation. Create character and learning help them learn to trust their instincts so that students can build self confidence so that they can make new friends and develop independent thinking. The end of each eight week session allows for students to perform in a showcase for parents and agents at Edgemar.

In addition to the acting classes for kids, you will also find the On Camera Audition great practice for those students who are new to being on-camera. If they are interested in developing their basic audition skills and build confidence with public speaking, this will help them build confidence with public speaking.
