Personalised Wallpaper
There are endless design ideas for tackling a large wall, obviously a good use of paint would be simple, but perhaps there are some more interesting options. For example, a giant wall mural would be perfect, a large-scale image that transforms a space. Gone are the times of spending thousands of pounds on getting an artist to paint a wall mural. Now there are several options available to you so that you can create your own printed wall murals without having to pick up a paintbrush!
Several online photo canvas printing companies that also offer to print your own designs or photographs directly onto wallpaper. All you have to do is supply the image! The question is what image to get printed? If you’ve got some basic photo-shop knowledge, then creating your own printed wall murals should be easy. Simply find a photograph or several that you like and collage them to create a wonderful scene. Perhaps you could create a jungle, space, fantasy or underwater room for your kids. Or you could print some Trompe L’Oeil windows to create the illusion of space in your living areas.
Don’t be put off if you’re a photo-shop novice though. Pretty much any image can be blown up with a dramatic effect! You can have your own face metres high on your wall! Or (and perhaps a less scary option) Landscapes are a good idea, a forest scene, with trees scaling the walls up to the ceiling for a magical scene. A seascape with the horizon as a modern day dado rail and blue sky filling the upper part of the room. For a more urban approach create a bare brick wall from top to bottom. The possibilities are really endless.
Once you’ve decided on your choice of image to get blown up, the next step is to get it printed. There are a few options available. Some companies’ offer printing on conventional wallpaper, where you just use paste to put it up. But if you’re anything like me and are hopeless at DIY, then you can opt for self-adhesive wallpaper. That means no paste, no mess and re-positionable! Simply peel off the backing and stick it directly to the wall. Normally there are two options a smooth finish or a lovely textured linen style finish. The quality of the self-adhesive wall murals are usually better too as they’re printed on the same photographic pigment machines often used to print high quality photos onto canvas.
It creates a good fun while taking clicked photos on canvas. I have clicked many natural pictures on camera and have got them onto canvas and still I am trying to get as many pictures as possible clicked to have all of them on canvas.
