New BMW 3 Series F30 launch postponed to July end
BMW India is riding high on success in the Indian car market, the car maker is enjoying the numero uno spot for last few years and it eyes to continue the top spot in the luxury car segment in the coming years too. The new version of BMW 3 Series is on brink of launching, it is a highly awaited sedan from the stables of BMW in India. Recent reports suggested that the new BMW 3 Series will be launched in India on July 19th, 2012, however, the company officials have denied this saying that the upgraded BMW 3 Series will not be launched on July 19, 2012, the saloon will instead be launched in the end of July. However no date has been given for the launch of BMW 3 Series facelift. The 2012 BMW 3 Series will be launched in India in both petrol as well as diesel engine options.
The petrol powered BMW 3 Series will be offered in two variants, BMW 3 Series 320i and BMW 3Series 328i. The 320i variant will engender a high power figure of 184 PS and a peak torque of 270 Nm. However, the 328i variant will push out significantly high power output of 245 PS along with a staggering high 350 Nm of torque. The oil burners will be rendered in two variants namely, BMW 3 Series 320d and BMW 3 Series 330d. The 320d version will belt out a maximum power of 184 PS and 380 Nm of torque. On the other hand 330d variant will pump out 262 PS of high power along with 560 Nm of peak torque. These trim levels will be equipped with a new eight-speed ZF transmission which is currently offered on the BMW 5 Series version.
The all new BMW 3 Series will be available in three variants-Sports Line, Modern Line and Luxury Line. BMW Sports Line will come with cutting edge looks and ample of gloss-black treatment. The gloss-black treatment will be given to numerous elements on the outside and inside of the luxury saloon. However, the BMW Luxury Line trim will be high on luxury quotient with lustrous chrome glutted on the saloon. While the BMW Modern Line which will be positioned amid Sports Line and Luxury Line will be a balanced trim which will have tid bits from both the trims.
Similar to the current gen E90 3 Series, the new F30 will be assembled at the BMW’s manufacturing facility located in Chennai. The saloon is expected to get a good response from the Indian customers who wish to spoil themselves in luxury. New BMW 3 Series price is anticipated to start at Rs 22 lakh which is extremely affordable given that it is a product from the stables of BMW. The new 3 Series will cross swords with the likes of Mercedes Benz C-Class, Audi A4, Nissan Teana and Volvo S60. Many of these rivals have been readying themselves to fight out with the new 3Series saloon.
Low cost D3 variants of the luxury saloon Volvo S60 were launched earlier this year in the Indian car market. Mercedes Benz C Class too has been offered in limited edition trims like the AMG Performance edition, Audi to advanced the launch of upgraded Audi A4 sedan in India and it also added the S4 trim to the line up.A lot of models have been heaping in the price range of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh, from luxury sedans to luxury crossovers and SUVs all are available in this price bracket. Luxury cars are way more affordable now than it used to be before.
