Valley of Flowers is a national park, and has a large area of alpine flowers and many other varieties and colors of flowers. The valley is marked as a World Network of Biosphere Reserves by UNESCO and consists of many endangered species of flowers that are not found elsewhere. The area also houses some of the most endangered animals like the Asiatic black bear, brown bear, blue sheep, and the snow leopard. Valley of Flowers lies amidst the rugged mountains, and this increases its beauty even more. This park encloses the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve that extends to nearly 5,148 sq. km.
