Things have just gotten only better now ever since the advent of social media in our daily mainstream life. Social media platforms have only given us new dimensions to explore and make a big name for ourselves and our business ventures. It just serves as a new and innovative method to make others talk about our initiatives.
However, with every new find there comes its own set of problems. The challenge then comes in the form of keeping track of it all, finding out relevant solutions and looking for newer initiatives wherein you don’t face another similar setback. A recent survey has found that large, youthful companies – particularly those with 500 or more employees — are more expected to use social media to connect with budding customers and clients. The survey also states that 78% of them prefer straying online all the time as it allows them to be up-to-date with their decisions.
This being said, social media hasn’t yet made its made an impression among the elders aged 50 and above. Almost 54% of people older than 50 say they don’t use social media. This is a minor concern when compared to the large following that social networks enjoy.
Citing the changing trends, many companies out there too are starting to innovate and experiment their business approach and strategies. Almost 82% of companies too have started implementing services by getting their profiles on Facebook and Google+ as well 48% of them using Twitter and 47% using YouTube to connect with potential clients and customers.
It is common knowledge that every effort you make, certain hardships will come your way. The survey notes that businesses who have opted for social media – 62% have gone on to say that they’ve had success, while 11% have stated that they were discontented with the results.
The survey also shows that social media is an economical way to get the word out about your product, provide fresh updates and to network with other companies. More than half of the businesses that use social media – 54% have said that it costs them less than 2% of their budget.
But, there are still many companies out there who don’t use social media. The main reasons that business owners have cited is the lack of technical know-how and a lack of time.
Since social media has made a mark in every field and has a direct influence in everything we do, companies need to take full advantage of it and use it to their best. Doing so at the earliest will benefit with fruitful returns and rich dividends. They need to constantly keep track of what is new and try to implement it to their best levels.
