Garhwal: A Jewel of Uttarkhand

Garhwal is a province in the state of Uttarkhand in Northern India. It is a part of the Himalayas and notable peaks like Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Trisul, Kamet, Chaukhamba, and Dunagiri. It was a part of the ancient Garhwal kingdom that ruled the area for many centuries before the British included it in the British India. For most part of history, Srinagar Garhwal has been the capital of the princely state of Garhwal.
