Keep dirt and dust at bay with Karcher Vaccum Cleaners

Karcher VC6300 vacuum cleaner review

Cleaning is a job that most of us hate but it is something that we all can never escape from doing. Karcher however tries to bring some solace with the new generation of cleaners. In terms of moving around with the Karcher VC6300 it is fairly easy and the wheels go in all directions and the case of giving it a yank in the right direction and on both carpet and tiles absolutely has no problems.

The accompanying expanding hose comes with all the usual attachments. It is a bit disappointing in terms of the cleaning up pet hairs and general dirt. However you can do something about the lack of ability to pick up pet hair by going for the optional pet attachment but either way it would have been nice to have some more power.

Kärcher DIY Multi-purpose Vacuum Cleaner

For a vacuum cleaner that does so many things the assembly is quite easy. All you need to do is pop the four wheels on the base and plug it in and not to forget the hose. You can put the hose on the front or the back of the unit depending on whether you want to use it to suck, or to blow.

The hose is shorter in length but you can extend it by attaching two suction tubes. It is not as easy as the one that extends with a few clicks, but is still pretty simple to use. You can also check with the two page guide with images for most of the setup and then a brief six pages explaining the functions.

The vacuum cleaner has two cleaning heads – one for crevices and another for standard floors / carpets and additional nozzles for small gaps. The machine does a good job picking up the pet hair and it did not choke as well. On the whole, the wheels lacked a bit of grip on the carpet, and the rotating brush was sorely missed. The smaller bits and pieces also escape the vaccum but it is still a very capable house cleaner.

The vaccum sucks up water pretty much instantly. It would have taken longer to start and stop a timer than to do the test, as the water was gone in less than a second. In case of any spilled water on tiled flooring the nozzle is able to get right close to the ground and absorb everything. Even on carpets it has a good pick up for absorbing water in a fast time. Just make sure after your cleaning job, you hold the tube to remove any excess water. In order to suck water you need to remove the filter inside first, so the vac isn’t really designed for you to suck dry stuff and then wet stuff and back again in the same session.

It is not one of the best vaccum cleaner in the market but it surely fits the do it yourself bill with a good value for money. The extra features are worth a mention as most of them are high quality and well thought through.
