was built during in 1902. This served as a warning system for seamen of the treacherous reefs
of Thangasseri. Tourist can visit the lighthouse during 3:30pm to 5:30 pm and the best time to visit is during between the months of February to November.

5. Kollam Beach and Thirumullavaram Beach
This is one of the best places to picnic, as you will be able to watch the sunset from there. In Kollam beach you are not allowed to take a swim as there are huge waves, on the other hand the Thirumullavaram Beach is the best place for swimming.

6. Munroe Island
This was formed by the backwaters of Ashtamudi Lake and Kallada River. This island
was named after Colonel Munroe, who was a British resident of erstwhile.
