Youth Group Fall Activities

The full-time for your youth ministry means the end of outdoor activities with a transition to more time spent inside with your youth ministry students. Paul means the end of summer and the end of the half day activities such as car washes or bottled water giveaways but there are still a few outdoor activities that you can participate with the help of your students. A great outreach program to do in the full-time with your youth ministry students is a full cleanup and rating service for those in need in your community. The people in your community who will most likely need help with fall cleanup and raking are those who are elderly and also those who may have physical disabilities which makes the strenuous activity of fall cleanup impossible for them or very costly where they would have to hire an outside service to come by and do it for them. So along with your youth ministry students you can plan an outreach program a few weeks in advance and start by asking members of your church who would be in need of such a service. Once you have the names of those who need the fall cleanup service you consent to contact them and offer your services free of charge in the name of Jesus Christ. When you are giving your services away for free as an outreach program be sure to let everybody you are helping know that your youth ministry is behind the services and that you’re here to spread the word of Jesus Christ and help those in your community. By offering such a service to those who need it your youth ministry will surely be appreciated by many people inside of your community. With the weather outside getting colder it is important that you have a lot of material set aside for your youth ministry that is dedicated to in class time. Make sure that you have high-quality Bible lessons and material that you want to teach your students at hand so that when you are not able to go outside with your youth ministry you can spend time learning Scripture and going over topics that your youth ministry students are interested in. Since the full-time is the start of the colder season you should also have activities and games that can be done indoors with your youth ministry students and do not rely on large outdoor areas for your youth ministry students to move about. There are a large number of games that can be done indoors and do not require a warm sunny afternoon. Have a number of games icebreakers and group activities ready to go so you will be well prepared when these fall months move into winter and it becomes more difficult to go outside with your youth ministry. A great idea to welcome fall and say goodbye to winter is to have a group hike at a local park or walking trail where you can enjoy God’s great outdoors a few more times before winter sets in and you are stuck in a classroom until next spring.
