New Managing Director appointed for Global Switch in Frankfurt
The leading owner and supplier of wholesale, multi-tenanted, carrier-neutral data centre solutions in Europe and Asia-Pacific, Global Switch, recently announced a new senior appointment for its Frankfurt data centre in Germany.
From the first of August 2012 Erhard Raible has been acting as the Managing Director, Frankfurt. Raible, with more than 30 years’ industry experience, the last seven of which working directly in the data centre industry for e-shelter, a major wholesale data centre operator in Frankfurt, where he was focused on new business and direct sales to enterprise companies. Prior to this Raible spent over ten years at Sun Microsystems where he concentrated on solution sales to financial institutions.
John Corcoran, Global Switch’s Executive Chairman commented: “Erhard brings to the group extensive knowledge of sales and new business development, as well as management skills crucial in the running of critical environments. Erhard is immensely experienced within the German data centre market and will add to the strength of our senior management team.”
Erhard will focus on the continuing development and future expansion of Global Switch’s Frankfurt data centre, a purpose built facility known for its exceptional quality and resilience. He will oversee all aspects of the data centre from sales through to operations.
