IIT Institutes Best Engineering Institutes
Before 2009, there were only 7 IITs institution that were functioning in their own campus. But now there are total number of 16 IITs institute they are namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Patna, IIT Punjab and IIT Rajasthan. Unlike other engineering colleges, this colleges do not need to be affiliated with a university to offer degrees for they are in itself an autonomous university.
Number of Courses Offered In IITs:
IIT offer both graduate and post graduate. They are also focused research centers. At the undergraduate level, grade level, all students have the technology B. tech. The specific nomenclature depends on the current degree of engineering students chosen. Each of the IITs institutes is renowned for particular engineering course.
Each of the IITs is famous for particular engineering streams. Suppose Delhi IITs is well known for Civil engineering/ Chemical engineering/ Computer engineering and Electronic engineering. Likewise in the same way is famous for degrees like Chemical engineering/ Biotechnology/ Electrical or Electronics engineering. But will find Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical engineering, Aerospace, and Civil engineering streams in all most all the institutes. In this colleges normally every first student courses are common but after second year their study Courses are decided according to the engineering stream they have chosen.
Here you can not only just do your B. Tech in engineering but also you can do your Master Degree in various engineering courses. Master of Business Administration course is also offered along with Master of Science. The level of research, Ph.D. is also offered by IIT.
Procedure To Get Admission:
In order to get admission you have to take part in common test entrance exam. Hundred thousand of people appear in this test. Since the competition is very tough as more than 60,000 thousand of student from all over the close the country take part in it. To appear in the JEE, the applicant must have secured 60% marks in 10 +2 level with science subjects. In the category booked, the minimum percentage required is 55%. The test cannot be taken more than twice the maximum age limit is 25 years (30 years for reserved categories).
Admissions at the graduate level are performed through tests of specific courses for admission. By M. technical courses, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is maintained. For M. Sc JAM (Joint Admission to M.Sc.) is performed while admission to management programs is through JMET (Joint Entrance Test Management). Undergraduate:Regarding the admission into this program, the candidates have to attend Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for the course. JEE
Post Graduate :M Tech Entrance Test: GATE score is the basis of the admission in this program for the candidates. M Sc: The admission procedure is based on the Joint Entrance Test: Admission test for M.Sc. (JAM).
Job Prospects:
Being as many top engineering colleges of the country, completing the IIT degree is in itself a guarantee of employment. Most students get jobs through campus placement session. Students have numerous opportunities to work with international companies based in the United.
