Volkswagen Polo and Volkswagen Vento top end variants facelifts launched with reduced price
Volkswagen India sprang surprise by silently launching the facelift version of top end version premium hatchback Volkswagen Polo along with the Volkswagen Vento sedan in the Indian car market. The high end versions of both the vehicles have received cosmetic touch ups on the exterior front as well as on the interiors too. The German car maker has added a couple of new features inside the cars making it more irresistible than before. The Indian car market is currently facing a tough time in terms of sales and therefore the company has spawned the facelifted version of the top end variants of its popular hatchback and sedan thinking that it will help in improving the monthly sales of the vehicles.
The sales of these cars were hit big time due to the current scenario, however Vento and Polo are present in the domestic market in both petrol and diesel versions but despite that the cars were not able to get good monthly sales. The reason behind the low sales could be Volkswagen Polo price and Volkswagen Vento price which has been placed too high and even with the launch of the new and improved top end versions of these two cars will it actually be able to contribute anything towards the monthly sales as these are also priced high.
But surprisingly, the company has reduced the price of Polo Vento high end model by Rs 40,000 and Vento top end trim by Rs 30,000 as compared to their forerunners. Despite of adding a few new features the German car maker has managed to slash price of the high end versions which could be taken as an opportunity that should not be missed. With the festive season coming up, the sales are expected to soar and these new top end versions could play a crucial role in surging the monthly sales of these two cars. On the other hand the company has hiked the prices of the base trims and mid trims of the Polo and Vento. The price has been increased by Rs 10,000. This move would have been taken by the German car maker to make a balance between the range of trims offered by the auto maker for Polo and Vento.
Among the new features introduced in the high end version of Volkswagen polo highline, smoked headlamps, new alloy wheel design, leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever along with a music system with USB connectivity, a speed sensing volume control for music system, a multi function steering wheel and an optional Bluetooth device are offered by the company. On the other hand Volkswagen Vento highline now comes equipped with a host of new features that include a pair of smoked headlamps, a new alloy wheel design, four speaker music system and a satellite navigation system with rear view camera.
The revised Volkswagen Polo price are as follows, petrol trendline is now available at Rs 4,89000, Petrol comfortline comes at Rs 5,38400 and Petrol highline costs Rs 5,84400. This was about the petrol trims of Polo hatchback, coming to the diesel trims, Polo diesel trendline is now tagged at Rs 5,99000, Diesel Comfortline is available for Rs 6,48400 and diesel Highline is offered at Rs 6,94400. The Volkswagen Vento petrol Trendline is priced at Rs 7,29000, Petrol Comfortline is available at Rs 7,75805, Petrol Highline is offered at Rs 8,74805 and Petrol At is priced at Rs 9,74805.Volkswagen Vento Diesel variants are available at these prices, Diesel Trendline is available at Rs 8,44000, Diesel Comfortline is offered at Rs 8,90805 and finally the Diesel Highline is priced at Rs 9,89805.
