Senior Citizen Entrepreneur Wants to Revolutionize How the News is Bought and Sold
The public, or citizen journalists if you will, are beginning to balk at the fact that they get the short end of the stick when it comes to content they provide to broadcasters and some voices are beginning to raise questions about the lack of compensation for these contributions. These findings were gleaned from forums, debates and discussions over a period of 12 months by Mr. Nicolas, a former news bureau chief and founder of the website www.Mozatros.com a Laguna Niguel, California, based company.
According to Daniel Nicolas there is resentment building toward TV networks that offer no more than a mere “Amateur Video” mention in their broadcasts, no compensation for valuable content submissions and who during their own newscasts request that people submit their content for free as if they should be only too happy just seeing it on TV
It is Daniel’s belief that people should benefit from their contributions to the world of news, but without a tool to enable that process to take place easily, the situation remains as is and the powers that be continue to enjoy the bonanza of free content that they currently do while the providers of that content are left out of the loop.
When talking with a well-known French news bureau chief while on a trip to France, in a moment of casual candor, that executive said – More and more we rely on peoples’ contribution with fresh and hot news because the truth is, when a news-worthy event happens by the time we get to the location, we’re too late…. Most people have no idea of the value of their content so it’s great for us. If we can get it for free, we’re happy.
When asked about potential rewards for enabling people to monetize their content, Mr. Nicolas Says… I should be retired by no, so money is not the issue. My reward is to know that people from anywhere around the world is fairly compensated for its participation in the news making process an God knows, some people out there in the world, really need to make an extra buck.
This is why Mr. Nicolas created Mozatros.com. As he says: Today anyone can play a part in the news-making process, participate in the Global Story and benefit from it. Mozatros makes it easy
Mozatros is also seeking strategic partnerships.
