The seats are placed making optimal use of the space too hence helping to fit in more passengers.
Another factor that makes flight tickets for LCCs cheaper than the rest is the fact that these airlines choose the smaller airports over bigger ones. Firstly, these LCCs fly in and out of relatively smaller cities, of course in addition to the bigger ones. By operating from smaller cities the airline not only caters to a market that is underserviced but also manages to save a fortune as far as airport fees are concerned. Airports charge for take offs, landings, aircraft parking, airport facilities for passengers, and a host of other services and if it comes to comparisons there is a whole lot of difference between what the smaller airports charge and what the ones in major cities do.
So though one only notices the cheap flight tickets offered by LCCs, there is certainly a lot more going on behind the scene.
