Earn a Business Administration Diploma in Three Years
Do you currently possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or have mature student status (19 years or older)? Have you completed English Grade 12 C or U or equivalent, or skills assessment; Math Grade 11 C, M or U, or Grade 12 C or U or equivalent or skills assessment; and Math 11C, M or U, or 12C or U or skills assessment, or equivalent? Once students have applied and are accepted, Business Administration training starts by covering such topics as strategies for business success, fundamentals of business, college communications, microcomputer applications software, mathematics of finance, financial accounting, business operations, and more in the first year. These courses are all complemented with a combination of theory, hands-on training, extensive case analyses, rigorous problem solving, business presentations and directed research. Once they are comfortable with basic business administration training, students move onto topics that are more advanced such as career exploration, business communications, human resources management, international business concepts, principles of marketing, management accounting, quantitative methods, economics for business and management, management principles and more. To round out training students spend their last semester covering topics such as corporate finance, organizational behaviour, business analysis, career action, management information systems, career enhancement, business strategy, professional business ethics and more. To ensure students are comfortable upon graduation, technology-supported learning is offered in-and-out of the classroom. In order to graduate with a Business Administration College, students must achieve a minimum C grade average and 2.0 GPA. Should qualified students choose to continue their education upon graduation, they can do so through articulated programs with selected universities, institutes and professional associations. These partnerships allow graduates to apply academic credit towards further study.
