Q3 analysis of OS market share
Recently companies have revealed their quarter 3 result and here we have taken efforts to compare the operating system producing companies on the basis of their performance.Talking about the American mobile market it had the maximum share of smartphones with many OS loaded. Among them Android driven phones constitute 43.6%, Windows 7 3% (pretty small), BlackBerry being 24.2% and finally iPhone with 24.2 %. The mini share of Windows doesn’t depict the failure of the operating system but it is because of the fact that it was launched very late in quarter three. This will be too early to judge the real performance of the company.Coming to the OS king Android, claimed to be the most profitable deal; by Google, has shown a total growth of 1,309% from last year. I know its difficult to believe but the king has truly shown a king growth. It has covered a total of 25% worldwide shipment.Apple has taken over RIM with 17% in International market, which is a real big deal for a single manufacturer. But RIM has also shown a real good growth of 412% in shipments. They have topped in Latin America with 40 % share in smartphone shipments.Symbian will now face a fall as Samsung and Sony Ericsson has declared that they wont be producing any Symbian powered hand sets any more. If Windows is able to manage more of Non Roman languages support, it can really progress and realise its true potential.Windows 7 has huge expectations in market and by now it has managed to deliver what people desire but certainly company has to increase its market base for reaching the great heights.
