This is the key to successful flirting. Also, make sure to listen to her carefully (as much as possible if you’re somewhere noisy), and to have an intelligent opinion. Don’t act stupid just to hear her talk, but also don’t hog the conversation. It should flow as naturally as possible, especially if you’re meeting her for the first time.
Just note that if you’re at a bar and you are serious about finding out more about her, offer to buy her a drink. Yes, you’re buying her time, and it will cost you between $5-$10 depending on where you’re at, but once your drink is done you’ll have established contact and whether she’s worth hanging out with again.
Finally, don’t ask for her number, it tends to make her feel like yet another number to you. Instead, ask her when you can see her again. But in the end, make sure to seal the deal, if she doesn’t ask for your number feel free to get insulted. Stop her in a friendly way from walking away, and make sure that you have each other’s contact info so you can make sure you see each other again.
