Problem in education and school social work
The children in school face many problems and influenced by such problems though they are not related school. The problems are such as physical abuse, social abuse, spousal abuse etc. And some may be caused by the father or mother itself. Particularly girls face much confusion about this abuse. The girls worried about their mothers and. however the schools provide assistance with various interventions through developed programs so that children may concentrate in school studies. Accordingly in order to provide assistance, social workers group was established to support such girls. The group provides counseling weekly at about 45 minutes.
The social group should address the victims describing that girls not created any problems. Moreover the children should understand that they cannot control the behavior of parent. And they cannot stop the girl/boy friend of the father or mother. The children is too low as such, they will not have physical or emotional ability to stop such situations. Ultimately, the girls become powerless, guilty and vulnerable. The girls should not feel for not helping the mothers, instead they should concentrate on their protection from spousal abuse. To have better understanding, the girls should select such personnel as role models who become independent ant personality such as teachers, officers etc. They should analyze the empowerment of women. The counseling should be undertaken for every week at about 45 minutes and it should be continued for 8 to 10 weeks. So that the girls feel that they are not alone and the can understand the situation.
A school going young woman namely Jenny is studying 5th grade is identified that her grades dropped in the year. The teacher recognized that Jenny was not enough as much as earlier. Then the social worker group made a meeting and started the counseling. Slowly Jenny revealed about spousal abuse at her home. She was worried about her father’s behavior with the mother. The group asked to join in their group. By sharing of ideas and counseling, Jenny reached to good condition and even with better grades. With the interaction social worker group in school, there is no influence about spousal abuse on Jenny. She improved her self confidence and grading too.
SUMMARY
The school going children badly affects with the spousal abuse. With that spousal abuse the children especially girls become powerless, guilty etc. In order to address the problems, the schools make interventions through establishment social worker groups among children. Such groups of children meet once in a week and spend time at about 45 minutes discussing the spousal abuse problem. Besides the group will describe the some of model persons related women category who had succeed in their life. Naturally the children impress on the influence of role model by leaving spousal abuse with unidentified, thereby leading to women empowerment.
