HVAC UV: V-MOD, V-RES and V-RAY
There are many different types of HVAC UV systems, but few are as efficient and powerful as the V-MOD and V-RES, which are part of the renowned Altru-V® family of products.
The V-MOD is an HVAC UV lamp that is installed inside the HVAC system to destroy contaminants. It is so powerful that it maintains the HVAC virtually to its original specifications. This ensures that the HVAC is working at peak performance and proper air quality is maintained.
The V-MOD advantage goes beyond its cleaning capacity. It helps the financial bottom line as well. A clean and maintained HVAC system costs far less to run than one working through a buildup of contaminants, dust and other impurities. The HVAC UV V-MOD costs literally pennies a day to run while dramatically lowering the energy output of the HVAC.
Another HVAC UV option is the extremely powerful V-RES. The HVAC UV V-RES 36 is capable of eradicating 99.99% of the Influenza A virus within one hour (standard home re-circulation systems). The V-RES 60 is even more powerful, capable of killing bacteria in the airstream as well as near the HVAC coils.
Not everyone is in need of such a powerful HVAC UV system, however. Those with smaller HVAC units can turn to the V-RAY.
The V-RAY is available in the Small Unit System (SUS) which is designed for small spaces. The SUS is used where low levels of UV radiation are sufficient for HVAC maintenance. The V-RAY Full Output (FO) is for limited space as it does not require a complex mounting system. The V-RAY Wash Down (WD) system is designed to be subjected to power wash down without removing the lamp from its installation location.
