Change My life With the Fashion-looking Eyeglass
On the stage of spring and summer, a fashion-looking eyeglass is a necessity for most young people, especially for those who are in their adolescence. A fashion-looking eyeglass makes you cool and fits you in a sea vacation or an old-time recovering party. People love them for their own reasons. For me, I have one too. It is a story that happened on the first day of my college.
I used to be called a nerd. I had always been a good boy who does as what my parents say. As they often did not allow me to go out for fun, I really had few friends. This was not the worst part of my life. It was my old-fashioned eyeglass hat continuously kept me under the torture of sarcastic laughs from my classmates around. For this, I never felt happy before even though I made it to a great college. I have given thoughts about changing it. But I did not dare to do so each time I begin to imagine what my Dad would look like if he knew it. It is not until the first day of my college that I finally made a change.
Like a fool carrying piles of books on the way to the dorm, I kept looking around, trying to figure out what a college life is really like. As I was just immersed in my concern about my future, a strong and solid elbow just hit nothing but my left eye corner. The force was so strong that I even fell down on the ground, with all books scattering around. As I tried to stand up, I sadly found I lost my eyeglasses. Like a frog, I was creeping on the floor and trying to find it back. Without the eyeglasses, I barely could see anything clear. Then, that fellow who just hit me came over and handed my eyeglasses. ¡°Sorry, buddy. I was stepping on the slide. I could not stop myself when I noticed you. I am sorry. Well, your eyeglasses have got broken. I would like to give you a new one. Oh, by the way, I am Jim, a freshman.¡± He said, handing my eyeglass to me.
I accepted his request. Later on that day, he brought me with some other fellows to an eyeglass store. To my surprise, he asked me to join their band. He believed I can be a great drummer for his band even though he knew I barely had any experience. Additionally, he even asked me to wear a new fashion-looking eyeglass. In that case, I will be more like drummer and a member of the band. Moreover, he also thought my old eyeglass looks really stupid. ¡°You are a college student now. You have grown up and can make your own decision. Make a change please.¡± He said in a smile. I did make change later on, wearing my new fashion-looking eyeglass.
Looking into the mirror, I simply could not believe that is me in the mirror. I thought that must be someone else. This fashion-looking eyeglass really made a great change in both my appearance and me. Like my college fellows say, I really look cool with it and can be a great drummer.
