How do people pollute air in their daily life
Our environment is facing pollution. We walk in the street breathing air, and we don’t feel anything special because it is just air to us. We have no idea how much toxic chemicals are there in the air we breathe. Air pollution threatens out planet by our life style.
How Do People Pollute Air in Their Daily Life? And How Can People at Least Reduce It?
1. Electricity consumption: Bluejay says that using too much electricity is not just a waste of money. Fossil fuels consists about 70, 9% of used energy to generate electricity. Most of the “coal emissions” can be decreased if people stopped using unnecessary electricity (“Saving”).
2. Automobiles: Bluejay says that automobiles emit toxic gasses including lead. The problem is that more than 40% of the world uses “leaded gasoline”. Air pollution affects “ground-level ozone”. The ozone protects earth from dangerous rays that come from the sun. “Most ozone pollution is caused by motor vehicles, which account for 72% of nitrogen oxides and 52% of reactive hydrocarbons”. We can use “hybrid cars” as an alternative to regular cars. Hybrid cars use both electricity and fossil fuels (“Hybrid”). Bluejay says that the increasing amounts of “carbon dioxide (CO2)” in the air cause something called “global warming”. It happens because CO2 is a “heat-trapping gas”; it traps the heat coming from the sun and makes temperature levels on earth higher. Global warming causes natural disasters (“Automobiles”).
Conclusion
Pollution is caused by wrong consumption of energy. Reducing toxic-gasses emissions depends on our desire to do so. Most of the pollution in the world comes from simple actions. Nuclear power is a non-fossil fuel but it is a dangerous way to generate electricity (BlueJay).
