Both chair beds and futons are amazingly versatile pieces of bedroom furniture for the family seeking to make the most of limited space and also come up with a comfortable place for guests to sleep especially when they are unexpected.
With frequent sleepovers taking place over summer vacation families often think about buying a futon or chair bed to ensure their visitors have a comfy night’s sleep. So which one should you opt for, fabulous futon or comfy chair bed?
Futons come in a variety of sizes encased in metal or wooden frames. With a fairly thick mattress (which can sometimes feel a little hard), a futon is like a sofa bed, generally large enough for two people to share. Using one of the modern chair bed involves a little less work in that they are much lighter and easier to flop out than futons. With chair beds retailing at prices far lower than futons, families on a budget should definitely opt for the former.
