CATALOGUE NOTE
Cal. 12″‘AM-400, Patek Philippe’s first amagnetic movement, debuted in 1958. It was fitted with a gold lever so that
it could withstand and maintain accuracy near high magnetic fields. Cal. 27-400 AM was its successor and featured
a free-sprung Gyromax balance.
Although Ref. 3417 is frequently designated Amagnetic on the dial, it is not uncommon to find examples with no
such marking, such as the present lot.
