How An At Home Workout DVD Saved My Life

I used to be just over three hundred pounds and unable to leave my house without having great difficulties. When you get past 300 pounds you start to lose self esteem and self confidence and all you focus on is how people view you. People see you as someone who cannot control their eating habits or someone who loves to eat too much food. It gets to a point where you think everyone is always talking about you or laughing at you, even though they say nothing to you.
I have been down that road and know what it’s like to be overweight. I knew I had to get a grip on my life or I would end up living a lonely life. Not only was I all by myself, but I had no one to encourage me. I remember the day that I was sitting on my couch, because I was too tired to get up, and saw this commercial about how I could start working out at home. If you’ve ever been in a gym you will notice that everyone there is usually somewhat fit, in shape and showing off their muscles. You would never find someone overweight in a gym and isn’t that what they are for anyways? People go to the gym to workout, lose weight and to feel better about themselves. Well for me I was past that level and had no confidence in myself.

I ended up buying that workout DVD and within a week I started my journey, my personal journey to lose the extra weight. It was hard, very hard and took so much time and effort. As soon as I started following that workout DVD I noticed my body was changing. I started to lose weight! I got excited and knew that if I kept at it I could become a healthy and fit adult one day. I soon could have the life I only dreamed about. I would pop that workout DVD in my living room TV and 60 minutes later, after multiple breaks and water breaks, I was done. That was the start of my journey to losing weight.

Today I live a much most healthy life and having lost just over 145 pound I feel so much better about myself. I know I still have a ways to go but I know that without that workout dvd I would still be my overweight self.
