Shaun T’s Insanity Workout Is Really Insane
I just got done doing the insanity workout by Shaun T and all I can say is, he is insane! I do not know how they can expect people to actually follow that guy! He is in a league of his own, but don’t get me wrong, I loved that workout. The insanity workout forces you to move and move every ounce of muscle on your body. I guess they say, “no pain, no gain” and that sure is the truth.
For me working out on my own is hard enough, but actually knowing what I am doing is also difficult. I find it hard to follow a routine at some local gym and I even had a one on one session with a personal trainer there. When you register at a gym they usually give you an hour with a personal trainer, so that you can get familiar with the equipment and know what types of workout you should be doing. I grew up running a lot; I mean I would run five to seven miles a day so I got the physical part of any workout done. I just don’t really know how to work my muscles. That’s when I decided to ditch the gym and go with a workout DVD. I saw that Shaun T came out with a new workout and that it was so hard they called it Insanity. Now I knew it was going to be touch physically, but didn’t expect the mental side of this work out to be so hard. When I was a runner I knew how to deal with the mental side of running, as they say any race is mostly mental. The mental side of any workout is where most people fail. As your body is doing its ‘thing’, your mind is telling you to give up and stop. Working out muscles is a painful thing and with the Insanity workout, you really do push your muscles to failure.
Now I said that I left the gym because I didn’t know how to work my muscles and didn’t know much about lifting weights. So why did I go with the Insanity workout? I believe that toning and working your muscles will build strength over time and it does work. Your body will go through a few stages as you do the insanity and when I first started I could not finish the entire routine. I actually had to stop many times through the first few weeks, but eventually I was able to complete the entire workout. I did not do the insanity in 60 days, like they say. I finished in just over 70 day, but you know what I got out of it. I learned that Shaun T is insane, but the guy knows what he is doing to get your body to that place where its trimmed, toned and looking great.
Susan is now a fitness junkie and tried the insanity workout made by Shaun T. Workouts will never be the same after going through insanity.
