Combined Employee Training Solutions Offer Many Benefits

Combined learning solutions are being used by more and more businesses that are interested in offering their staff the highest level of training. Blended learning combines both classroom-based and online courses to give businesses the greatest degree of flexibility and variety in their training programs. No employer wants to come to realize that someone in their organization cannot do their job because they were not trained well. Every business wants to give all of their employees the chance to succeed because successful employees are the key to keeping an edge in the very competitive business world we live in today.

Instructor-led training ensures that your workforce gains knowledge and insight while working with others in a face-to-face environment. Classroom training engages employees and pushes them to learn. E-learning also ensures that employees gain knowledge and insight and it is proven to be very effective in improving learner retention. Employee training courses that implement both approaches are cost-effective and very adept at getting a large number of employees trained without disrupting the day-to-day flow of a business. Up until just recently it was common place for businesses to shut down entire departments for a day or more so that employees could travel to an off-site training facility to receive new information. Not only was this expensive to do but it also was very counter-productive.

There are many challenges to face when a company only offers traditional instructor-led training.  Finding a time that will work for each and every person who is supposed to attend the training can be virtually impossible in today’s hectic business environment. Regardless of how well planned a training session may be it seems that there is always something that pops up which keeps one or more employees from being able to attend a mandatory training session. This is why it is important to offer a good deal of flexibility in any employee training program. Offering the instructor-led portion of the training at various times is always a good way to ensure that everyone receives the training they need. Coupling this traditional training with online learning further optimizes and streamlines the learning process.

Some companies prefer to offer classroom-based training before they offer online training. This way the instructors will see to it that everyone completely understands the material being discussed before the employees move on to the more independent e-learning portion of the training. Combining these two approaches to employee training is proving to be effective and it is now being implemented by companies of all sizes and types.
