Charlie Chaplin was born in England in 1889. Both of his parents were stage performers. When he was young his father and mother separated. His mother’s career ended because she had a problem with her voice; that enforced Charlie to work as a performer at a young age. Chaplin moved to the United States years later (Dopierala, n.d.).
Chaplin’s first movie was “Making a Living” in 1914 and the last was “Countess from Hong Kong” in 1967. He won 2 academy awards in his life. Charlie Chaplin died in 1977 at age 88 in Switzerland (Stephan, n.d.).
