Should you Download Games Straight to Your PS3 For Free
Gaming is an expensive hobby. The platform can set you back hundreds of dollars and most games are within the sixty to eighty dollar price range. If you are on a budget like most of us, that can run into some real scratch. Therefore, it is tempting to find ways to download games straight to your PS3 for free. But buyer beware, you get what you pay for.
Breaking the Law
It is illegal to pirate proprietary software. Law enforcement is getting more sophisticated in its ability to track down pirates and hackers. They are able to track individual ip addresses if they so choose and if your ip is actively downloading free material that is copywrite protected they may so choose. It is stealing plain and simple.
It Doesn’t’ Work
There is no easy way to download games straight to your PS3 for free. The hard drive is too small to support full sized downloads. That is why the console has a Blu Ray player. Even if it were possible, the company is always updating its software. They are coming up with new security measures all the time to protect their property. There is a good possibility you could find yourself in a lot of trouble.
Further, many of these sites are dangerous to your system. They can access your information while you are trying to download their content and they could seriously mess up your system. On the whole, it is just not a good idea to download games straight to your PS3 for free.

Still, there are many sites which offer games for free for download to your pc. You may or may not be able to use these. The trouble is many of these sites are scams set up to hack your system or steal information. It is really not worth it.
In addition, these sites may offer content that is not usable. Unless you have a Blu Ray player on your pc it is definitely not going to work and that is one expensive upgrade. If you don’t upgrade you may get the game, but you won’t be able to use it and what’s the point in that?
The best alternative is to join a legitimate site that allow you to rent games or go to stores that offer used games. You will be going through the proper channels and staying within the confines of the law. It is better to spend some money for conscience sake. In life there are few free rides and those that are may be scams. It’s just not a good idea to try and download games straight to your PS3 for free. Remember, you get what you pay for.
