Marriage
Marriage is defined as the state of being married between a man and woman as husband and wife. According to traditional views, marriage was created to spawn and raise children within a stable environment. Marriage is a long-term relationship between two opposite sexes. People choose to get married for different reasons. According to Christian believes, it is believed that marriage is when a man and a woman leaves their parents and stays together as a husband and wife and becomes one flesh. This forces them to leave according to the standards and believes as stipulated in the bible. In most marriages, only the partners can decide to come together. This is considered as a personal decision and a choice. But there are different cultures where you find out that the parties are matched by relatives and parents. In this case family background is well investigated before they get engaged and only the family which matches the other will be accepted. In other instances, family standards and status also contribute to marriages. Rich families require that their children get married to the same rich families. Those parties who deny this get a lot of abstractions and rejections from their parents. Under these marriages where relatives match partners, love is not necessary to them and they feel that this two people will adopt one another with time. As a result two strangers are brought together who may accept or not accept one another. Some maintain this marriage for the sake of their parents and relatives who matched them and in the long run they end up breaking them others release that it can not work and break it in the early stages while for others it becomes a successful marriage.
Some people get married because they feel that they have attained the required age to have a partner and have children. This people will choose a person who will satisfy their needs and not basically the one they love. This type of marriage will exist not because there was love between the two but they wanted to fulfill a need in life and this marriage will survive for the sake of the children. Some marriages come about because of financial status. In this marriage person cohabits with the other for the reason that there are green pastures. This marriage will only survive if the other person stays wealthy.
Most marriages where you find that the two parties decide to come and stay together are mostly based on love and some of them just like each other’s company. Some people get married for the god reason just because they love one another but others get married because of wrong reasons.
Marriages which are based on love are long lasting in this marriage, one partner readily and honestly accepts the other the way she/he is. This makes their marriage as success. This long-term relationship is characterized by many features which contribute to its success
