A Different Look at Time The YES Watch is a unique timepiece programmed for 500 cities worldwide. It measures time for up to three locations simultaneously and can also be set by latitude and longitude. Its digital time shows hours, minutes and seconds, and with the push of a button displays the month, date, and day of the week. The YES Watch also displays exact times for sunrise and sunset for two time zones, automatically adjusts for DST and the time feature can be set to a.m./p.m. The stainless steel rotating bezel can be utilized as a third time zone if needed, a daily personal time reminder, compass or even to peg high noon. This timepiece is the perfect tool for pilots needing to plan flights before dark, fisherman who fish by lunar phases, astronomers and stargazers, astronauts, hunters as well as businesspeople and families keeping track of their precious time.
It is fairly simple to read the YES Watch display. On the watch face, one hand tracks the path of the sun across the sky while simultaneously pointing to the time on the surrounding 24-hour dial. The light area on the upper part of the display shows daylight hours from sunrise to sunset and the dark area shows nighttime. There is a smaller circle at the bottom of the display that shows the lunar phase, and the watch also features a sunrise alarm as well as a regular alarm with snooze and a stopwatch with lap time.
The YES Watch is housed in a round stainless steel case, stamped out from a solid piece of steel and hand-crafted to the appropriate functionality dimensions. Double O-rings and the crown control all of the watch functions. The wristwatch also features a screw-down or pop-in caseback, which insures water resistance up to 300 feet. The stainless steel locking bracelet clasp is also hand-crafted from a solid piece of steel.
The YES watch is equipped with a Swiss Ronda analog movement and a patented Japanese Toshiba microchip, which is the brain behind the functions of the YES Watch, and is based on a formula developed by the United States Navy. The YES Watch Models The YES collection includes four models with various looks and sizes. Also scheduled for debut in January 2004 is YES 2.0, followed by a ladies’version, a pocket watch and a desk clock, along with a new concept three-handed model. The current models available are the pioneer World Watch, the massive Ace, the black and white classic Space and the slimmer Solstice model. The case sizes vary by model from the Solstice case measuring 49mm and the Classic measuring 43mm. Whatever model you choose, the YES watch makes a statement and is a perfect conversation piece for all who appreciate the sophisticated visual interpretation of time.
