The eps machinery panels has many advantages than other insulation materials. Here we simplely make comparison about eps machinery panels with XPS panel.
eps machinery panel is more economic. XPS has lower thermal conductivity than eps machinery, which has characteristics of high thermal resistance, lower linear, low expansion. Obturator rate is higher than 99% to form the vacuum space. But the obturator rate of EPS is only 80%. As a result, the insulation effect of 30mm thickness of XPS board equals to 50mm thickness of EPS board, 120mm thickness of Cement Perlite. But the price of the XPS is twice than eps machinery, so EPS is more economic.
EPS panel is better. According to national standard test, 100*100mm, dry 48 hours under 70 degree, the deform is 1.2%. But EPS is less than 0.5%. So the protective materials as mortar and paint are easily to crack if using the XPS board as the exterior wall insulation layer. Meanwhile, eps machinery has better whether resistance and size stability when temperature are fluctuating. So EPS products now are the most widely used building insulation materials in domestic and international market.
With different production processing, the porosity of eps machinery is bigger than XPS, i.e. the surface roughness is worse than XPS, and EPS density is lower, so EPS board is more sticky than XPS board.So normally, the insulation layer if using XPS board, it is easily to crack and hollow.
From the appearance quality, EPS panel are better. After the eps machinery board sticked in the wall, workers need to polish the whole surface. But due to the high density of XPS board, which makes the polish difficult to control. So the appearance quality of EPS board is better than XPS board.

As eps machinery board has special function, isolated water, and penetrate the vapor, so it is easily solved this problem.
