Relaxation through Hatha Yoga

Relaxation through Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is the basis of many other forms of yoga practices. The Hatha yoga form uses different poses that are held for varying amounts of time while the person works on relaxing the parts of the body that are not being used to hold the pose. There are many styles of yoga that come from this form such as power yoga, Ashtanga yoga and Kundalini yoga. There is also the hot form of yoga called Bikram yoga, which is practiced in a hot room at temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees, thus allowing people to sweat a lot during the practice to get rid of toxins.

Poses

Hatha yoga uses a series of poses that help the user to utilize all the different muscles of the body. The idea behind Hatha yoga is the practice the different body positions that can help to improve the flow of body fluids and to remove toxins from the muscles of the body. By doing so, the body is made healthier so that it is better able to withstand different illnesses and diseases. The poses are also done with concentration so that only the muscles that are actively involved in holding the poses are flexed while all other muscles are relaxed in the body. This helps people to better relax when they are in every day situations, like at work when they tend to tense muscles of the neck and back when they do not have any reason to be tense.

The Hatha yoga poses also help people to develop will power and to get in better touch with their bodies. They help to improve their flexibility and also their sense of balance which can carry over to other sports and their general life. The poses in Hatha yoga are difficult to hold since the person is holding his own body weight during the time he is in the pose. Pairing the difficulty in holding the pose with the flexibility that the poses require helps the person to develop a strong and limber body that feels good rather than being bound up and tense like some other forms of exercise tend to do.

In addition, the Hatha yoga poses help people to focus on their breathing so that the breathing is relaxed and slow, even during the most difficult poses to hold. This breathing is what the people are told to focus on during the poses since it helps them to make it through the time in the pose when the pose is difficult and also helps them to remain relaxed.
