WoW Cataclysm – The Umschmieden

All values on items that improve your character fall into two categories. The primary values in Cataclysm, endurance, intelligence, strength and agility. Most secondary values can be changed: will power, hit rating, expertise, hit rating, haste rating, championship standings, parry and dodge rating. Each of these values can be adjusted by Umschmieden or added.
Items umschmieden
To use this feature, a player must speak to a Umschmieden NPC in one of the main cities and contribute an article for Umschmieden with him. The item must be 200 level or higher (Hero instances or from Naxx10 up) – you can see the object of stage by her selecting the appropriate option in the interface menu display. Once an item is selected for Umschmieden, the player any secondary value that is already on the subject can choose and replace about 40% of them against another secondary value of his choice. The cost of the Umschmieden amount to the sale price of the item. But there are limitations: you can only change a secondary value per item and you can not improve secondary value that is already on the subject. One can make the modifications, however, reversed and redistribute new value. This is especially useful when objects change, skills or talent builds and you want to keep for their character are important values.

Example: Lets say, you want umschmieden “march of the Apocalypse” (item level 271). You can use the hit rating good but not really the 70 hit rating. You can then Umschmiede an NPC in one of the main towns to visit, put the object in the window and reduce the hit rating for a little less than 14 gold (selling price) to add another secondary value. You can select any value other than secondary critical strike rating, because this is already on the subject. Maybe one wants to improve the championship standings. If you choose this value from the drop-down menu and confirming the hit rating reduced to 42 and added 28 championship.
