Computers are high-ticket items, meaning that they cost a lot of money. For that reason alone, it is a good idea to do a lot of research before just buying any old computer. One must take into account the many intricacies involved with the purchase of a new computer so that they don’t end up spending a ton of money on something that they didn’t really want or need.

Well there are many difference between Apples and PCs, but what I usually tell people is that if they are not going to be using their new computer for video, audio, photo, or any other type of media production, go with a PC. Although PCs are okay for editing video, audio, and photos, Apples are much better equipped than PCs in getting the job done.
One of the next questions the computer buyer should ask themselves is whether they want a laptop or a desktop? Well, do you want a portable computer – one that you can take anywhere you go? Want to be able to check your email from your favorite coffee shop? If so, then a laptop is for you. You can use laptops on planes, trains, cars, buses, pretty much anywhere! However, if you are just going to be using your computer at home, get a standard stationary desktop computer.
One more thing to consider is what the computer is going to be used for. Is it going to be used for playing high quality 3D games? Or are you going to use it for just general internet use and word processing?
