The colors that are displayed on the Spain flags, or the national flag of Spain, are red (twice) and yellow. Red is displayed on two of the three horizontal bands, each equally sized and display above and below the center band, which is colored yellow. Unlike other flags of Europe, the Spain flag only has two equally sized stripes.

Some unofficial flags and banners have been displayed (in Spain) at events of all kinds. At some point during the last decade of the 20th century, an unofficial version of the national banner showed an “Osborne bull” in the center of Spanish flags, covering all three horizontal bands. Representing some coat of arms, this flag began to appear during soccer games in various arenas throughout the country. Fascinatingly, the usage has become increasingly popular and has been attached to smaller and taller flagpoles at bigger events, including international events!

The national banner can (for example) only be flown horizontally from public buildings, homes and businesses, ships, of during official ceremonies from flag poles. Government buildings are to fly the flag from a flag pole or so day and night.
