All Dial… And Nothing but the Dial A reflection of time by Mido rom the Swiss watch manufacturer known for Fproducing robust automatic watches with impeccable water resistance and imaginative designs, comes a new collection of fine timepieces by Mido, the All Dial. The development of this latest collection was inspired by one of the most architecturally imposing buildings in history, the Coliseum in Rome. With the Coliseum as its muse, Mido created its new All Dial watch line.
The All Dial design allows for optimum readability with the integration of its dial that occupies as much space as possible in the watch. Following the designs of the Coliseum, built to accommodate 50,000 spectators in the first century a.d., the All Dial’s case style gained its inspiration from the amazing monument, with similarities in the graduating stages resembling the actual ones in the Coliseum, diminishing the case edge and making the watch appear to be all dial.
The All Dial Collection consists of two models in the standard size and three additional models with larger cases measuring 42mm. The All Dial Automatic is a fabulous expression of design and quality featuring an imposing 25-jewel ETA 2836-2 movement, with 28,000 bph, Incabloc and Nivacourbe shock absorbers. To maximize accuracy, the movement is fitted with a Nivaflex NO main-spring, which is adjustable on three different positions. The Automatic model features a 40-hour power reserve.
The All Dial Automatic case is constructed of stainless steel and is fitted with an antireflective sapphire crystal. The finley crafted movement is visible through the screw-down mineral crystal caseback, enusring water resistance up to 100 meters. The back of the All Dial models also feature engraved, eight-part serial numbers. The dial features the Mido signature logo, indexes and numerals, all of which are individually applied, as well as a day of the week and date aperture window at the 3 o’clock position. A stainless steel bracelet with a two-button folding clasp is available as well as a rubber strap with stainless steel folding clasp and two push pieces.
Mido’s All Dial Chronograph model achieves the same perfectly readable dial as the Automatic version. With its clear dial layout and the use of SuperLuminova on the hands, the Auto Dial is legible even in the dark. The movement of the All Dial Chronograph meets the highest criteria, with its visually en-hanced appearance and cosc certification. The decorated mechanical chronograph movement features an automatic 25-jewel Mido caliber 1320 (based on ETA Valjoux 7750), with a frequency of 28,800 bph and a minimum power reserve of up to fifty hours. The movement is complete with an Incabloc and Nivacourbe shock-resistant system, a Glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring and a Niaflex NM mainspring. The timepiece’s move ment is elaborately decorated with circular-grained bridges, Geneva stripes blued screws.
