Does The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act Threaten Your Freedom Of Choice?

There are some areas of the FDA Food Safety and Modernization Act that are significant … And some that will dilute your constitutional right to choose what you eat… Under the appearance of national security and WTO compliance.

A hobby farmer in Georgia was fined $5000 for growing too many vegetables in his two acre garden. Why? His green thumb produced more vegetables than the county zoning regulations approved.

Another discovery was an article claiming the new FDA Food Safety Modernization Act will eventually make it illegal to grow your own vegetables, give them to neighbors, or sell them at the family roadside stand. That is also a validated assertion. Failure to register your garden, pay fees and keep a record of who you sell food to, could result in fines and even jail time. Small businesses and hobby gardeners will be regulated out of business.

Codex Alimentarius is part of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act…Why Should That Alarm You? It is made up of thousands of standards and guidelines. One of them, the Vitamin and Mineral Guideline (VMG), is designed to tolerate only ultra low doses of vitamins and minerals (and make clinically effective nutrients illegal). Through Codex, nutrients are ultimately being tagged as toxins.

Todays full potency Vitamins and nutrients will be viewed a controlled substance and only available through prescription. How is that possible? Any government aligned with the WTO must support their regulations or face sanctions. Hundreds of herbal products will be inaccessible across the EU in early 2011.

The marketingof supplements and nutrients that exceed the dosage allowed by Codex Alimentarius, without a prescription, are subject to fines and or arrest in Europe because their governments have agreed to support WTO mandates that end free access to high potency nutrients. This begs the question, who could possibly win from this abhorrent concept? A possible beneficiary of this pseudo-science is of course the pharmaceutical industry. Natural ingredients cannot be patented, but the WTO through Codex Alimentarius, can now regulate them.

Codex Alimentarius is a roadblock to the freedom of people to choose natural healing and alternative medicine and nutrition. Ratified by the World Health Organization, and going into Law in the United States as part of the new FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, many health authorities agree, the risk to our health freedom has never been greater. You can no longer be silent.
