If any such company did take you to court then they would have to prove that you as registered keeper were party to any contract (when you enter their car park you enter in to a contract). That is they would have to prove you were driving the car at the time. Even if they could prove it were you driving all they would be entitled to be the amount you should of paid e.g. 2 pound for an hours extra parking.
Avoid these types of tickets, even if you are receiving three different threatening letters per week. Don’t’ give in, and make sure you take the company to court if they continue. Life is hard enough without false traffic tickets!
