Higher Education
My interest in higher education has led me to apply for admission in your university. This is due to the fact that by studying in a bigger institution I believe that I have higher chances of meeting and interacting with a great number of academic gurus as well as students. I hope that this chance will enable me learn and draw a lot from their experiences in order to become a great scholar. The university also has a great reputation in the country, for producing great scholars and I want to be part of this tradition. Having been born in USA, and my parents being Filipino Americans, this has really helped me in that they have always been a mentor to me with constant encouragement to embrace the attributes of hard work and integrity. Both of my parents believe in education as being the key to knowledge and this has led them to in the fore front by pursuing education. My father holds bachelor degree whereas the mother holds doctoral degree. My dire aspiration is to pursue education and where possible surpass the academic levels they have achieved. They strongly believe that good morals and ethics contributes to individual performance and this, they have consistently taught me since I was of a tender age. Embrace with their belief in higher education, they have supported me in all ways at their disposal. They have not fallen short to inspire me in having interest in Filipino cultural and community services.
My attributes
Since I was in the high school, I have participated in various activities which have really sharpened my leadership and interpersonal skills. Hard work and integrity being some of my attributes, I have tirelessly worked towards utilizing them as well as making an impact to others where I can. Through out the education career, I have been able to achieve a number of rewards following my commitment and hard work. Just to mention a few of these achievements, I have been a member of National Honor society since 2007, member of future business leaders since 2006 and have certificate in team building. I also volunteers in teaching teens about Christianity, morals, missionary spirit to mention but just a few. I strongly believe in giving back to society and community at large the best services that I can. Having done teambuilding, am better placed to embrace the spirit of togetherness and working with others towards achieving a common goal within the shortest time as well as collaborating rather than having unhealthy competition. Given a chance in the university, I will commit myself to enhance team spirit, collaboration and constant and effective communication to the community at large.
Am looking forward to get the chance that will make my aspirations and dreams come reality. I believe your institution will mould a better person from me and due to its good reputation, I will be glad to be associated with institution of achievers.
