Importance Of Having A Believe System Within Our Society
A belief is a thought or an idea that you find to be true or real. Beliefs are just generalizations of what you find true about other people, yourself and the world around you. A belief system is an accumulation of the beliefs that you hold. It acts like a brain filter, thus making you to see the world in a particular way; it governs your actions, words and thoughts (Beverly, pp 138).
A belief system can refer to various things such as; a religion, an ideology or even a philosophy that one holds true in their life. It can also refer to assumptions that underlie a culture and which brings forth a number of activities that are been practiced in various communities. People would live far much better lives if only they were to make decisions of what they want in life. This is in terms of material things and the importance of spirituality in their lives. The major mistakes that most people make, is to have rules but which they do not live by them. They just formulate rules which they find hard to live by. It’s the words of inspiration of many, which help people to continue believing and remove fear from their lives. Many people live by what other people, whom they consider as successful believed in and how they had been able to conquer fears in their lives (Bertrand, pp 21).
The belief system that we hold is important in the way that we view life and how we live in it. It makes us to always consider our inner self and to be part of it in terms of listening to it. Irrespective of the struggles, troubles and obstacles that we go through, if we just look deep within ourselves we shall realize that we do actually carry the solution to these troubles.
I believe in myself for I know that every other person may lose faith in me but only me who is left to stand for my own. I believe this since only me who understands myself better than anybody does. This belief of my own has made me develop a strong self esteem for I know that even if the whole world hated me or hated what I do am left to stand for my own policies. I believe in power, for with power countries become independent. It brings forth respect. With power opportunities come at your door step and richness is by your side. Its power that makes America be respected by the whole world, the same power makes presidents across the world be adored, hence my belief enables me to obey and respect authority that comes with power (Edward pp 82-90)
I belief in life’s small things, for I know it’s the trivialities of life that matter most, those things that people ignore and dismiss as being little and of no importance, I believe are the most important.
