Luxury is a vacation villa
Private vacation villas are often left out of the thought process when planning a week or two away planning a week away. They should not be left out. Read these 6 good reasons why vacation villa rentals are an essential ingredient of everybody’s vacation preparations.
Quickly, think of the image that most occurs to people when they think of travel. They picture themselves sleeping in a hotel, or if they are road-tripping it through the back country, in some sort of motel or lodge. But for those people in the know, there is no place like home…and there is no reason not to sleep in a real home while away from your own.
Now it is time to bring to you six great reasons why a vacation rental villa is the height of comfort and a clear preference over a hotel or motel or any other run-of-the-mill “room rental”.
1.Listen particularly closely if you travel in groups, such as a family of four or five, or a group of friends, or even a couple families traveling together. Do you really want to rent a “room”? Would you all sleep together in a room, or even in two rooms at home? A villa is a house. It has rooms, which is plenty more room than just a room. Got that?
2. In fairness, a villa rental is not very economical if you travel alone. It does cost more than a hotel room. But if you travel in packs, get ready to howl at the savings. Not only can a group of 4-6 people fit comfortably into even the smallest rental villa, but it will often cost less per person than forking out for a couple hotel rooms for the week.
3. There’s more to save… Have you ever calculated the cost of eating at restaurants. There is usually at least one meal for four that weighs in around $100 when tip and tax is added in. Plus breakfast. Plus lunch. Plus snacks. (Yeah, you get hungry between meals, too.) Well, it all adds up, doesn’t it? Or a you can spend more reasonable $50 a day on groceries. You are in control. You select the ingredients you like. The ingredients that fit your diet. The ingredients you know aren’t sitting around spoiling while the cooks are waiting for someone to order item 27 off the menu. And you eat in peace and in privacy.
4. Did somebody mention privacy? No kidding, this might just be the best advantage of all, what blows away a hotel room or a motel room – yikes! even worse – who boasts all the privacy of a stack of crates shoved into the back of a cattle truck. Your house is private. You don’t hear wailing, singing or banging in the corridor. And if you want to wail, sing or bang…go ahead. Nobody is listening out in the hall (Vacation rentals are the preferred accommodation of secret agents for this very reason.
5. The flip side of privacy is freedom.Queue the national anthem. Raise a cheer – Yay, freedom. Now that is what a vacation is all about. There is nobody blaring music until 3:00 am…unless you want there to be. Go ahead, you won’t be disturbing anybody. Just make sure the windows are all shut and play the TV, the stereo, the video games. It’s your vacation; have some fun.
6. Yes, I did say stereo and I did say TV and I did say video games, and I might have mentioned the private pool and maybe even a pool table. No hotel room comes with as many amenities as the typical vacation rental. That fight over who gets to use the hotel room bathroom last summer? The one that left you with a permanent limp? Let bygones be bygones – this year you can just use the other bathroom in your much-better-equipped vacation villa.
Pocket the savings…or re-invest them at another week of relaxation in your villas getaway. Ah, the pure luxury of a villa rental makes a hotel look downright… barbaric.
