Aerial Photography as Historical Family Heirlooms
Residential aerial photography is very popular with individuals and families living in rural areas. These types of photographs, while often pricey, allow the resident to view their home and next to acreage from above, the viewpoint that is extremely difficult to photograph. These airborne photographs are a historic account of the home and any improvements made during ownership. One local resident actually purchased all of the aerial photography of a home he was buying so that he would have photo taking history from the origin of the house towards the time he bought it and planned to continue to buy the aerial photos during his time of possession, thus maintaining a family antique for his children as well as grandchildren.
Aerial Photography is often Considered Priceless by Home owners
As a property owner in a rural neighborhood our house has been photographed approximately every five years. We have purchased the aerial photography every time a representative has contacted us. Within the fifteen years we have resided in our home, we have made many upgrades to our home. When looking at the aerial photography, we are able to notice each of these alterations in five-year increments. Each aerial photograph is framed; hanging next one to the other, chronologically, so our house is presented in a visually logical manner as to the enhancements that were made. This mini history lesson enables our children to see their very own home prior to their own individual births and the modifications that have happened within their lifetimes. Living on loved ones property, there is an excellent sense of pride when examining the improvements that have been created in your lifetime along with the knowledge that the home will remain in the family, these aerial photographs show only a glimpse of how existence changes with each era.
A pilot friend recently began to give airborne photography to clients, friends and business associates. This unique gift is traditionally very costly. However, he is able to provide this gift, as he personally owns the plane as well as camera. To him, it is an unique way of expressing his gratitude and friendship. However, to the readers, it is priceless.
