The advent of mobile phones have created a revolution on our lives. Earlier the cell phones were used only for receiving and making calls, but as times are changing rapidly they have become more glitzy and sophisticated packed with lot of oomph and useful applications. There are many large players which are launching these beauties in the market and every mobile has some killer and distinct features that makes it unique and exquisite available in the market.

The newly launched mobile phones like Nokia 5230 and Samsung Jet lilac have many features that makes them exquisite in their own methods. The Nokia 5230 mobile phone is the new mobile phone which is expected to release within the fourth quarter of the financial season whilst Samsung Jet Lilac was already launched in the market and is obtainable from June,2009. If we compare each the sets, former includes a display screen of 3.2 inches and also the latter have the screen size of 3.1 inches. But 5230 cell handset has a TFT resistive display which displays 16 million colours and provides a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels while talking about Jet’s display screen, its AMOLED resistive touchscreen consumes less energy and consumes lesser amount of battery to display 16 million colours and even a much better resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Both the handsets have impeccable and provide SMS, MMS, Email, Instant messaging functions but Samsung Jet Lilac have a separate feature of Push email. have functions like Document Viewer through which one can view documents which are supported by Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats. Alongwith that it has also obtained a function of Photoeditor embedded init where one can edit their respective photos as per the requirements. Whereas Jet also obtained some truly exemplary features for example Digital compass, Media Gate 3D and Smart unlock. Both the phones have inbuilt Stereo Fm with RDS, but latter one has got FM recording too by which one can record his/her favouriet songs which are coming on FM.

There is not much difference in respect of data technologies that are supported by both the phones. As each the phones are 3G enabled and have GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE and Bluetooth. The real difference lies in their respective memory space. On one hand we have Nokia 5230, which has an inbuilt memory of 70 MB which may be expandable if you use a micro SD card. Alternatively, we have Samsung Jet, which has an internal memory space of 2GB ehich can be further expanded by a micro SD card.

Another major distinction lies in the camera features. The Nokia one has a camera with a 2 Megapixel camera having a resolution of 1600×1200 pixels whilst the other one has obtained camera of 5 Megapixel which clicks the pictures at a mind-boggling resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels alongwith auto focus and LED flash features. There is a secondary camera too in the Jet handset with a function of videocalling. Alongwith that it has functions like Geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, and a wide dynamic range.

Last but not the least the Nokia 5230 includes a standard Li-Ion battery of 1320 mAh while the Samsung Jet Lilac includes a Li-Ion battery of 1100 mAh. The former has obtained a standard battery back up of up to 432 h in 2G and 3G but the latter one includes a battery back up of up to 422 h and 406 h in 2G and 3G respectively. But Nokia one gives an additional music play of 33 hours.
