For nature lovers, one of the best places to check out in Minnesota is the Boundary Waters and Canoeing or BWCA which is an expanse of lakes and forests covering 150 miles. This is open to the public and anyone can contact any canoe outfitters in there. Visitors can gather food supplies and camping gear through these outfitters. This is not only a good way to spend your vacation of you are single but it also provide a place for the whole family to enjoy.
Yet another place for nature lovers to visit is the Blue Mounds State Park. Atop the rocky ridge called the Blue Mounds, one can be treated to a dazzling display of greenery. Rolling plains dotted with native grasses and wildflowers can be seen as well as herd of buffalo grazing. If you want to see what southwestern Minnesota looks like before it was industrialized, then this is the place to go to.
If you lead an active lifestyle and you would like to spend your vacation doing activities like biking and camping, then Minnesota has the place for you namely the Mesabi trail. This paved trail covers 132 miles which will take you through 25 communities. The view is a mix of north woods and lakes which used to be mining pits. Be careful though as while parts of the trail are level, majority of it is inclined which could pose some serious challenge to some people.
Minnesota surely has a lot to offer especially for people who love to be close to Mother Nature. The lakes and forests in Minnesota provide amazing scenery and a way for people to see how beautiful nature truly is.
