UPTU MBA EXAM PATTERN
“The UP MCAT exam consists on objective type questions to check the verbal ability, quantitative aptitude logical and abstract reasoning, and general knowledge. The test is divided into four areas
The entrance examination for admission to MBA courses offered at the institutions affiliated to UP technical university Lucknow, including other university situated in the territory of Uttar Pradesh for the particular academic year. Generally there would be around 125 questions distributed over four sections. The total time allotted for the question paper is + 4 marks and each incorrect would be awarded -1 marks.
Section A- English language test of proficiency in English language. The questions covers grammar, vocabulary, uncommon words, sentences completion, synonym, antinomy’s, relationship between words and phrases and comprehensions of passages.
Section B- numerical aptitude test of numerical aptitude on general mathematics, numerical calculation, arithmetic, simple algebra and geometry. This section also test the ability to interpret comer graphs, charts and tables.
Section C- thinking and decision making speed and accuracy of thinking and decision making. The test is based on creative thinking. Finding pattern and trends and assessments of figures and diagrams . unfamiliar relationship and verbal reasoning .
Section D- general awareness knowledge of current affairs to trade, industry, economy, sports and culture . the test is aimed at evaluating the verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logical and abstract reasoning and knowledge of current affairs. While preparing and on the final day of the exam the candidate should keep the following things in mind give the instruction given on the first page of the paper carefully.
