Okay, this might be hard to believe, or might not even be, because bidding for soccer, Olympics, hockey and many sports begins way before the event. That is almost years before the event. Yes messieurs and mademoiselles, the bidding for Super Bowl 2011 venue started way back in 2007. Take a look at Super Bowl history with regards to the bidding for location and go back a few years. There were 3 NFL ( National Football League) cities which offered their bids for the mega event. The first bid was done by North Texas Super Bowl XLV Bid Committee on January 25, 2007. It was led by Roger Staubach, the chairman of the committee. Consequently, February 13 the same year was the date when the then Mayor Robert Cluck along with Arlington city council resolved through a bill to support the North Texas bid committee. The rest of the Dallas city followed suit the next month by supporting the committee. The other city fighting for the event to be held there was Glendale city council, which presented its bid in the same year, 2007 in February. In between, Indianapolis officially announced its bid for Super Bowl 2011, led by Jim Irsay and mayor of the city Bart Peterson. Eventually, on May 22nd, 2007, the suspense was unveiled and NFL owners voted for and accepted the North Texas bid for the event which bowls over millions of viewers! The 2011 Super Bowl will be held in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas!!
