Natural Super Cures That You Can Obtain In Any Department store
When folks think about home cures they can be tempted to consider them as alien contents, concocted by mystics. In fact, home remedies became conventional because they were generally available to all the world. While a few of the herbs used in the last century are not common shop items, several cure constituents are. Two of the most effective remedy ingredients are Parsley and Cider vinegar.
Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) is a garden herb that is regularly used in modern cookery recipes. A native of the central Mediterranean region, historically it was grown in Iran, Italy, Tunisia and Algeria. It became naturalized throughout Europe and is now widely grown as a herb, spice and vegetable. The first records show that parsley was used as an enema, but now it is used to treat a variety or conditions in home medicine. It is used in remedies for high blood pressure and as a diuretic. When rubbed on the skin, parsley eases the irritation of mosquito bites. Many people use parsley to treat bad breath by chewing the leaves. In fact one of the most common claims for the plant is that it takes away the odor of garlic. There is some evidence that parsley helps the growth of bones by promoting the absorption of manganese – something particularly of concern to women at risk of bone depletion. Parsley should not be consumed in large quantities by pregnant women. There is also some evidence that large quantities could promote the growth of kidney stones.
Cider vinegar is produced by the fermentation of apples. It is long been an unintentional by-product of cider production. It was first used in cooking, but both the Egyptians and Hippocrates record using it for its curative properties. Since the 1950’s cider vinegar mixed with honey has been used to treat a range of ailments. In the 1970’s it became popular as a diet aid. The belief is that the vinegar and honey mixture controls that amount of acid entering the body through digestion. By increasing body alkalinity, various substances in the body associated with common ailments are more easily broken down and removed. Gout, arthritis and headaches are all believed to respond to treatment by cider vinegar by this mechanism. Cider vinegar also seems to have some ability to reduce blood glucose levels, which is a concern for diabetes sufferers. Many folks believe that cider vinegar is both an appetite suppressant and that it aids dieting by reducing body fat accumulation. There are some scientific studies which support this theory. Cider vinegar should always be consumed in small amounts as larger doses have a number of negative health effects.
These two everyday contents have a large following of people who swear by their ability to treat a range of conditions naturally. Some of these ailments have few effective alternatives in conventional medicine and this has led to their popularity. Others are popular because the remedies are quick, convenient to prepare and they have no side effects. So next time when you are feeling the effects of one of these conditions, why not try a herbal remedy instead.
