Walking is the best

I hate winter Mondays; it’s the first day of my long week of school runs, sitting in traffic and not finding any parking space. Taking the car to drop my child to school is a nightmare, I used to take her with my bicycle but last time I used something broke off.

I haven’t had time to get it fixed, so I’ve been driving around in my car but I think it’s time I took it to the bicycle shop and find out exactly which bicycle parts are missing. This week I have no time, I have meetings and training at work, which usually means I won’t get my hour lunch.

Sometime next week, I will take the bicycle with me to work, so during my lunch break I can take it to the local bicycle shop and get it fixed. Since my bicycle broke, I feel like I’ve put on a few pounds so I’m really looking forward to having my bicycle back.

During the summer, I don’t use my bicycle to drop my child off to school as I prefer to walk. Walking makes me feel good; it’s a good start to the day. Walking keeps my energy going throughout the day, which usually means I get to do a lot of housework.

The best thing about summer is I get to do my gardening, I love planting flowers but most of all I love growing my own fruits and vegetables. My favourite is tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce which happen to be my lunch as I’m on a strict salad diet.
