New York, NY – Today, Santa Cruz-based brand managers, Mackeonis & Associates, (www.mackeonis.com) were pleased to announce that Chu Shu’s Silver Linings (www.silverliningsnewyork.com) were welcomed by all the ladies who gathered at an exclusive event at Hollywood’s Café Boheme on February 8th Recipients included: Marilu Henner, Mischa Barton, Vivica A. Fox, Sophia Milos, Grammy winner, Gramma Funk and ‘Kings Speech’ costumer and 2011 Oscar® nominee, Jenny Beavan.
Silver Linings are the first ‘petite’ antimicrobial shoe liners for women, infused with silver Agion®, to keep feet and shoes odor-free. With bacteria-banishing and moisture-wicking features, and a non-adhesive grip backing, these slim-and-pretty half-soles fit easily in the toe of her favorite and expensive shoes and protect them from perspiration and odor when going sockless.
Silver Linings is the brain-child of businesswoman, Jenn Chu, who, with degrees in Chemistry and Business, founded Chu Shu, Inc. and developed Silver Linings, because she saw a need for a feminine, ultra-thin, pre-trimmed antimicrobial shoe liner that stopped perspiration and odor and protected shoes from being ruined. Whether the shoes are flats or heels, boots or tennis shoes, she sees them as an important fashion accessory for celebrities, as well as fashion-conscious women of all ages. Last year, Ms. Chu won first place in the Science Industry and Business Library’s first annual New York StartUP! Business Plan Competition, for offering innovative solutions for busy, fashion-conscious people, with her first product, Silver Linings.
Other celebrities who received Silver Linings included: Charlene Amoia (Glee), Ariel Winter (Modern Family), Katarzyna Wolejnio (The Mechanic), Edyta Sliwinska (Dancing with Stars), Alicia Coppola (Jericho), Caroline Carver (the Royal Today), Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill), Marisa Ramirez (Sparticus), Fairuza Balk, Leyla Milani (Deal or No Deal), Dee Wallace (E.T, the Extraterrestrial) and Samantha Waite (producer, “Wish 143″). Celebrities were ecstatic to learn that there is actually a product available, right now, to save their feet and shoes from unwanted perspiration and embarrassing odor. Grammy winner, Gramma Funk, commented,”Hey! I’m going to wear these shoes again tonight, so I’m going to put a pair of Silver Linings in as soon as I get home, and I’m going to wear them to the Grammy’s!” As a postscript, unfortunately, Ms. Funk did not win, but at least her shoes had Silver Linings!
Jenn Chu responds, ‘We women put all kinds of crazy stress on our shoes. We wear the same pair of ballet flats or high heels from dusk ’til dawn, usually without the benefit of socks to help protect both our feet and our shoes from moisture, wear and tear.” Continuing, “Traditional insoles are so bulky that they can add an extra size to a shoe and don’t do much in the way of moisture prevention. So that’s why I developed, Silver Linings!”
Silver Linings was a cosponsor of Eva Longoria’s Hollywood’s 2010 ‘Rally for Kids’ Cancer charity event during October 2010, and the 6th Annual Miss Malibu Pageant 2011 (http://www.mackeonis.com/charity_events.html).
Silver Linings are environmentally friendly and made in California. They are available in pack of 3 pairs and retail for $15.99. One-size-fits all and each pair lasts for about 30, 12 hour wears, with one pair recommended for each pair of shoes. Currently available at www.silverliningsnewyork.com, and soon to be available at fine department stores across the world.
