Boston Red Sox Getting back on Trak
This has not been a season that the faithful of the Red Sox desire to keep in mind, there have been a ton of problems that have formed with the team within the past couple of seasons. This team can be a far cry from the glory that they had no much more than five years ago. Since the day that the curse was broken the team has seemed to be under a new curse. This new curse has made the team look much less than stellar. The Faithful of the Red Sox are holding out hope that there’s still time left to bring the team back from the edge and get them back on track.
The bullpen of the Red Sox is the first area that needs to be worked on if the team has any chance of making improvements in their pitching rotation. There are several gaps that have formed in the past few months that have made the team weak when it comes to getting batters out and sending them to the dugout. The team will need to make sure that they make wise trades that will send the bullpen into a recovery mode and as a result will lead to the team heading to victory once again.
There are a few pitchers that are in the rotation that will be able to close out a game, if the rest of the elements are all in pace, this means that there will need to be a strong starter in place in order to get them in a position that they will be able to strike out batters. Then the closers will need to come in a make the save on the game. This will be the first few steps that will get the team into a position that will secure that they win games.
The batting order is in need of some serious help. Since the departure of Damon, the team has struggled to have any real hitting power on the roster, there are several players that have the potential to be the big hitters for the team, and these hitters are looking to make a lasting impression for the rest of the team. David Ortiz was supposed to be the one player that was supposed to save the team, in many regards, the savior looks the be part of the problem for the team on the whole. The Red Sox needs to use their trades wisely and get some players that will get the team on track for the rest of the season.
Overall the team is looking like they are on the road to have a very long and bad second part of the season. This will as a result mean that the Red Sox will be watching the World Series from the comfort of their home, instead of being a part of it. If the rebuilding is continuous, then the team does have a little hope of being able to play in the Fall Classic next season. There is no reason why fans, need to give up on the Red Sox, they just need to pray harder that the team finds their way back from the darkness.
